This growing collection is inspired by an incredible experience volunteering for the archeologist Yannos Kouraios on the small Greek island Despotiko. The ongoing excavation is uncovering an important archeological site dating back to the 9th century BC. Perhaps the most significant aspect of this site is the Greek geometric period, clearly visible in painted pottery and carved marble, reflected in this collection.
